Seattle Weekly Shows Some Spud Love

Posted By on Wed, Jun 23, 2010 at 4:21 PM

Today, the Seattle Weekly published a nice little article on the Moscow, Idaho music scene. The piece profiles three bands who got their start at the University of Idaho—Josh Ritter, Horse Feathers and Finn Riggins.

Though the author's claim that cities like Moscow, Austin, Texas and Athens, Georgia are seen as "islands of liberalism and culture in wider seas of racism ... and stagnation," is a bit much, we're glad to see our snowy sister city to the north getting some much deserved respect.

And big props to Eric Gilbert from Finn Riggins for keeping it Ida-real:

"We really like living in Idaho, and we weren't convinced we had to leave in order to make it in the music business."
