If you haven’t had double-scoops, Push Pops and ice cream sandwiches floating through your head all week, you’ve either been holed up in your air-conditioned mansion (jerk) or pruning in your lukewarm kiddie pool, waves of heat rendering you brain dead (in which case, you’re likely not reading this.)

Well, this evening is your chance to chow down on some Meadow Gold ice cream while hanging out with giraffes, penguins, tigers, hyenas, snow leopards, red pandas and a Komodo dragon at Zoo Boise.

This special after hours Ice Cream Zoofari runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and costs $5.75 for adults, $4.50 for children four and older or $2 for children three and under.

The zoo: almost as wild as Scary Larry.
