Local Bands Low-fi and "The Big C"

Local rock trio Low-fi has hit a new high. Their song "Where You Are" is featured in an episode of Showtime's The Big C. Laura Linney stars as a mini-van mother and wife—Oliver Platt plays her husband—who, after being diagnosed with cancer, decides that life is too short to waste.

In an e-mail from Low-fi drummer Mike Rundle, he also wrote that the band will be supporting songstress Mary Cutrufello on a few dates in September and will play Pengilly's on Friday, Sept. 10.
