This just in: Boise-based doom metal band PussyGutt will no longer have to reiterate, "Yes, our band name is PussyGutt."

The duo, made up of Brittany McConnell and ex-BWer Blake Green will now perform under the name Wolvserpent and are taking this new name into the studio and on the road.

Wolvserpent is embarking on a huge national tour at the end of this month that will take them through the Midwest to the East Coast, down South, across the Southwest, back up through the West—including a late October stop in Boise—and ending in Seattle in November. They'll play with fellow dark lords Velnias (an excerpt of one of their songs is nine minutes long), Locrian (their song, "Procession of Ancestral Brutalism," clocks in at nearly 11 minutes) and Ehnahre and Subrosa, to name a few. And along the way, Wolvserpent will play from their upcoming album Blood Seed due out on Tuesday, Oct. 5 on the 20 Buck Spin label.

Wolvserpent kicks off their tour at VAC on Saturday, Sept. 225.
