Television Portland Jumps the Shark With New TV Series

There's been a lot of buzz about the new IFC channel series, Portlandia, co-created by Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein. The series is intended to be a slacker mumblecore-style sitcom aimed for the Wes Anderson crowd.
But if this newly-released clip is any indication of what to expect of the series intending to chronicle the noble city, it may end up being more Ishtar than Royal Tenenbaums.
Le sigh. Portland, you deserve better.
