Once again, Boise's bike community did the city proud, bringing in more than $21,000 during last summer's Tour De Fat event. Proceeds will be split between three area bike groups: Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association, Treasure Valley Cycling Association and the Boise Bicycle Project.
The national touring event—sponsored by New Belgium Brewing—racked up a total of $331,428 in 2010, all of which will go back into community bike-oriented groups.
