We know we told you about this show in our Dec. 29 issue, but some new info we acquired deserves a mention too. Old Death Whisper, the rockabilly country band from the Wood River Valley is giving away advance copies of their debut EP, Potato Westerns, at their show at Pengilly’s on New Year’s Eve.

The party remains a destination to check out in and of itself, but now … bonus! You will also be able to download the record in its entirety during the last two weeks of January at ODW's website.

The EP is a compilation of six songs that ODW has been playing on the road as they traveled from Portland, Ore., to Jackson Hole, Wyo., and the intent is to “inject a shot of good old dirty rebellion into the veins of American music.”

It was recorded and mixed at the band’s Rocking Hell Ranch in between live shows, with the purpose of having it done in time for you to have it your hot little hands on New Year’s Eve. The band hopes to release another EP sometime around March.
