Black Swan took top honors at the anti-Oscars Saturday night. The Independent Spirit Awards attract an A-list gathering of actors and directors, usually in a giant tent on the beach in Santa Monica, Calif.
Black Swan won four awards Saturday, including best picture, best actress for Natalie Portman and best director for Darren Aronofsky. James Franco was picked as best actor for 127 Hours. The King's Speech won the Independent Spirit award for best foreign film. Portman and Franco have a busy weekend. Expect the very pregnant Portman to pick up an Oscar tonight, and Franco is one of the hosts (along with Anne Hathaway) for tonight's big show.
Even more fun are the annual Razzie awards for Hollywood's worst films. Last night, The Last Airbender won the top/bottom prize for worst of 2010 (in all it was "awarded" five prizes). Worst actress was an appropriate tie among Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, stars of Sex and the City 2. Ashton Kutcher was named worst actor for Killers and Valentine's Day. Best of the worst? The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was given a special award for worst eye-gouging misuse of 3-D
