Everyone has a story to tell. But not everyone has the guts to share that story in front of a room full of hundreds of spellbound strangers.
If you’ve secretly wanted to tell your tale at the ever-popular monthly Story Story Night but are terrified that your voice might slip out the back door when you take to the stage, Story Story Studio can help.
Tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the Cole Marr Coffeehouse in BODO, Story Story Night is offering the first in a three-workshop series geared toward grooming new storytellers for the stage. Tonight’s workshop will focus on idea brainstorming. The workshop on Monday, April 18, will deal with getting those ideas on the page. And the final workshop on Monday, May 16, will take ideas from the page to the stage.
Interested budding storytellers can attend one workshop or all three, and there will be more Story Story Studio series offered during summer, fall and winter. Though the workshops are free donations are encouraged.
