Hockey, like most professional sports, has two seasons: the regular season and the playoff season. If a team is any good, they'll be skating until June. If not, they're grabbing their golf clubs sooner than later. If last night's playoff between the Idaho Steelheads and Las Vegas Wranglers was any indication, there's a lot more hockey to come.
The Steelheads and Wranglers played into three overtimes in Las Vegas, ending about 2 a.m. MST Thursday morning. The grueling face-off ended with a 3-2 Idaho win, tying the series 1-1. The game marked the sixth longest game in ECHL history. The series now shifts to Boise for game three on Friday night and game four on Saturday, April 9, both at the Qwest Arena.
