What do “dark, country-tinged, swampy-swingin’, hillbilly-delta-blues-ragtime” band Hillfolk Noir and “experimental indie-pop” purveyors Finn Riggins have in common? You might be surprised …

Perhaps first and foremost is the desire to celebrate Record Store Day, which is dedicated to appreciating independently owned record stores and the music communities they support. The second is the release of the 7-inch split that they produced for the occasion.

The two favorite local bands will be performing at the Record Exchange on Friday, April 15 from 6-8 p.m. during a FREE, family friendly show. This is your chance to be one of the first to hear “Indie Rock Song Blues” by Hillfolk Noir and “Some Are Knightz” by Finn Riggins, and you can pick up a copy of the limited-release record—complete with cover art by local artist Kelly Knopp.
