Paul Rudd has made a career out of playing the nice, lovable goof who wins over audiences.
In Our Idiot Brother, directed by Jesse Peretz, set to come out this summer, Rudd stays true to character as Ned, a laid-back, nice guy who runs a produce stand. Unfortunately, he also peddles some illegal organics and, one day, out of the goodness of his heart, Ned sells pot to a cop—not an undercover one, a policeman in uniform.
Homeless after his arrest, Ned ambles from family member to family member, including his sisters played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer.
Slated to open in August, Our Idiot Brother promises to be as sweet and fresh as the summertime produce Ned sells at his stand.
