The annual Boise Weekly Black and White Photo Contest is once again upon us, and it is your chance to win fame, fortune and glory—or at least cash prizes for the top three entries. The grand prize-winning photograph will also be published on the cover of the June 22 edition of Boise Weekly and be part of the annual Cover Art Auction.
Of course, there are a few stipulations:
-All photographs must be black and white or monochrome and be at least 8 inches in one dimension.
-They must also be mounted on white 16-inch by 20-inch matboard.
-High-quality digital prints are fine.
-All entries must include the photographer's name, phone number and address, as well as the category (people, places or things) on the BACK of each entry.
-While you can enter as many images as you want, be ready to pony up a $5 entry fee for each photo—we have to come up with the prize money somehow.
Here's the big one to pay attention to: All entries must be at the BW office by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8. You can drop them off in person, or send them to BWHQ (523 Broad St., Boise, ID, 83702), but don't forget to send the entry fee, too.
