Need Something To Do Friday?

Posted By on Fri, May 27, 2011 at 9:00 AM

Every once in a while, it’s good to bust out of our routines. Tonight, instead of the usual Friday night dinner-movie-music thing, why not slip on your sneakers, load your significant other/sulking teenager/hot date into the car and head to the Eagle Bike Park and get a little run in?

Wild Rockies presents a 10K walk/run at 6 p.m. tonight. The course will take participants through giant sagebrush, and is open to anyone wishing to fork out the $25 registration fee, which will go to help build and maintain new trails at the park. To register, visit spondoro.com—you’ll be able to pick up your registration packet when you get to the park later this evening.

You’ll probably score bonus points with the spouse for being creative and active, the angsty teen will be too busy trying to catch his or her breath to worry about the latest crush, and if you’re dateless? No sweat (well, OK, maybe a little). There’s always the possibility that you’ll meet a like-minded fitness nut on the trail.
