If there's any act more solitary than reading, it's living the life of a fantasy/sci-fi nerd. Not only does no one care what you have to say, there's a good chance they won't even understand it—this nerdy reporter once translated the lyrics to Bow Down by hip-hop supergroup Westside Connection into Klingon.

But today, it doesn't have to be that way. Nerds and non-nerds alike can swing by Rediscovered Books and take part in the Fantastic Worlds Book Club. The club meets once a month to discuss the sorts of things that jerks "normals" keep asking fantasy and sci-enthusiasts to stop talking about.

This month's meeting will be to discuss The Magician's Apprentice by Trudi Canavan. The story is a prequel to her bestselling Black Magician Trilogy.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and is free.
