Boise Open Studios Collective is calling for working artists with studios in the Boise metropolitan area—Ada, Boise and Canyon counties—who want to open their studio doors to the public. But first, the nonprofit, professional arts organization is accepting applications for 2011 membership from now until Friday, July 15.
BOSCO is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides a network for professional artists and fosters connections between local artists and the general public by illuminating creative processes.
Visit the BOSCO website to download the membership application and the list of required submission materials. Applications will be processed electronically with a non-refundable $10 application-processing fee. Applicants have the option to apply for a Participating, Supporting or Student membership.
A participating membership offers artists the chance to participate in the 2011 Open Studios weekend, which takes place Oct. 15-16, and the First Thursday show reception at Boise Art Museum on Oct. 6, in addition to being listed on the BOSCO website. A supporting member receives the same benefits as a participating member, but does not take part in the Open Studios weekend.
Applicants who are accepted will be notified by Monday, Aug. 15, with membership fees due by Thursday, Sept. 15.
