Cyclists have all been there: That weekend you have a friend fly in from out of town and you get stuck on foot because your friend's bike is back wherever he or she flew in from, or that time you want to go out drinking but don't have enough bikes and so you walk just so no one will end up behind the wheel, drunk.
That's why it never hurts to have an extra bike, no matter the quality.
Today is a great chance to pick up a parts bike, an extra ride or even a primary ride on the cheap, because the Boise Bicycle Project is trying to clear some space and raise some cash with an "as-is sale."
There will be approximately one gazillion bikes and parts available and all the BBP asks is that you don't immediately head inside to start working on them today, because of the logjam it would create.
The sale will run from noon-5 p.m. at Boise Bicycle Project, 1027 Lusk St.
