World-class competitive eater Pete Czerwinski was in town this week. And while he was here, he decided to stop by Big Jud's and smash the the record for the Big Jud's challenge: eating a burger with two 1 lb. patties, bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese and bleu cheese on each layer, plus mayo lettuce and tomato and a basket of Big Jud's fries. It's a burger so bold, so badass, that Adam Richman, the host of Man VS. Food, had to give up.
The standing record was 10:34. Czerwinski boldly proclaimed he could do it in five minutes flat. And that he should be the host of Man VS. Food, not Richman.
Did he make it? Watch and find out.

My good Friend Pat ate the Big Jud with boring regularity when we were younger . Unfortunately Pat chose to cut his own life short several years ago . This story brought back some good memories of an old friend lost along the way .
Thanks Pete and thanks Boise Weekly for making me smile today ;)
