Need Something To Do Wednesday?

Posted By on Wed, Sep 7, 2011 at 7:00 AM

Between Alive After Five and all the other downtown bars trying to cash in on that crown, Wednesday is music day. And that is definitely true today: Hoots and Hellmouth is at AA5, Talkdemonic is at Neurolux, the Butthole Surfers will rock The Egyptian, and Brian "Head" Welch, the Rasputin look-alike who was formerly the guitarist for Korn and is now a roadie for Christ, will be at The Venue.

And Kenny Loggins is at the Eagle River Pavilion, so even Wednesdays aren't perfect.

But why not do something else altogether tonight? Perhaps enjoy some insightful social commentary about farts for a good cause?

Tonight is the launch of Boise's newest stand-up comedy event: Comedy for a Cause at Liquid.

The twice-monthly event will feature some of Boise's wackiest cracking wise to raise a few bucks for the Idaho Humane Society.

It starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free.
