When A Lull opened for Cold War Kids at Knitting Factory earlier this year, audience members looked at each other, mouths agape as the Chicago-based quintet let loose pounding percussion and lush layers like streamers into the room.
A Lull's debut full-length release, Confetti (Mush Records), has an Animal Collective-esque orchestral feel but A Lull uses huge, primal drumbeats to pound its music home.
