Drink a Pirate-Worthy Operatini Tonight at Le Cafe de Paris

Posted By on Wed, Sep 28, 2011 at 3:16 PM

Though France and Britain have butted heads a number of times in the past (Napoleon, you scallywag), they’re joining forces tonight in the name of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera The Pirates of Penzance. Opera fans will storm Boise’s Le Cafe de Paris from 6-8 p.m. for Opera Idaho’s Operatini: The British Are Coming.

The event is a preview celebration for Opera Idaho’s The Pirates of Penzance, which goes down Friday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Egyptian Theatre. But tonight, you can listen to cast members sing arias from Pirates of Penzance while snacking on apps from Le Cafe de Paris and sluggin' back martinis from five-time Best of Boise winner Mark Allen, mixologist at Red Feather Lounge.

Tickets are $20 per person or two for $35, and include grub but not booze. Arrrgh.
