Boise Weekly is now accepting entries for one of our most popular contests of the year, Bad Cartoon. So, heads up illustrators: it's time to prove you have the right (or awesomely wrong) stuff.
This year's contest is slightly different than in the past. While all entries of all skill levels and senses of humor are welcome, there is now a $10 fee per entry. But we're not trying to get rich off of this—all entry money will be awarded to the winners in the form of cash prizes. Additionally, the winning comic won't run all year long, as in the past. The winners will only be published in the Nov. 30 edition of Boise Weekly.
All Bad Cartoon entries must include the illustrator's full name, contact information and any random details or explanations necessary on the back of each entry, along with the $10 fee (please don't send cash through the mail). Cartoons will only be returned if they are accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
And here's the big one: All entries for Bad Cartoon are due in the Boise Weekly office no later than noon on Wednesday, Nov. 16. They can be dropped off in person or sent via snail mail to Boise Weekly, 523 Broad St., Boise, ID 83702.
