Need Something To Do Thursday?

Doesn't it seem a little weird that someone known as "Silent Bob" would have a podcast? Perhaps silent podcasters exist in a weird contradictory world with vegetarian butchers and nudist retail clerks. But somehow, screenwriter, actor, producer and director Kevin Smith—the man behind Silent Bob—has made quite the career out of being a contradiction.

If you're a Clerks/Dogma/Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back fan, today is your day. At 7:30 p.m., Edwards Downtown Stadium 9 and Stadium 22 and IMAX will screen Kevin Smith: Live from Behind, Featuring "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old."

The three-hour, interactive event will feature Smith and Jason Mewes (a.k.a. Bob's counterpart Jay) conducting a session of their podcast Jay and Silent Bob Get Old live from from the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Following the podcast, viewers can interact with Jay and Silent Bob in a live question-and-answer session via social media. Gotta love technology.

Tickets for the one-night-only event are $15 and available at fandango.com.

Introduction
Blessings my friend, I am happy these teachings have found their way to you!
My Mission is to lovingly and patiently guide the evolutionary motive for the survival of humanity, from a fear based motive for action to an unconditional love based motive for action beginning with myself. My hope is that this brings about peace inside me, inside you and in this world.
My name is Ray Ranson, “Ray OF Love”. I am a friend and Spiritual Teacher. I have simplified my teachings as much as I am capable of today, so that they may be understood by as many beings as possible. Enlightenment, Love, joy and indeed peace for all humanity is available today if we realize and put into action the following simple yet effective teachings.

Overview

Capitalism is competition, the opposite of cooperation and sharing. Capitalism and all competition is rooted in fear and it is destroying humanity through mass depression, famine, war and more. It is destroying minds and displacing the soul/spirit, leading to a large scale discontent people and the jailing of millions, among other issues.
We must stop competing and start cooperating (rooted in Love) if we wish to find peace in ourselves and peace on Earth.
I am only one man but I represent all we can be if we only find the courage to choose it.
Love, Ray Ranson, “Ray OF Love”

7 Simple Teachings

1) When we ask the Universe (God) for help and guidance, we always receive it. It may not be exactly what we wanted, but we will always receive exactly what we needed, even when this is hardest to understand.
2) Our physicality and our consciousness are both actively evolving, and the Universe (God) is conscious of all learning-without exception. You are on a mission and you have a specific set of lessons to learn. How you learn is largely up to you.
3) Learning & surviving using “The Path of Fear” means our motives and intentions are partially or mostly rooted in fear. “FEAR” evolves to doubt, annoyance, frustration, impatience, arrogance, anger, jealousy, judgment, competition, addiction, hoarding, violence, and alike, and then eventually leads to “WAR”. Humanity has largely learned this way, with most religions being a hybrid effort of the fear & wisdom paths.
4) Learning & surviving using “The Path of Wisdom” means our motives and intentions are partially or mostly rooted in love. “LOVE” evolves to understanding, compassion, forgiveness, reverence, patience, humility, courage, harmony, fairness, cooperation, joy, sharing, and alike, and then eventually leads to “PEACE”. This path is largely new as an option to humanity and will eventually lead the way to our further evolution.
5) There is a balancing force in the Universe that understands all, and compassionately applies lessons as needed, real-time, and beyond lifetimes and forms if needed.
6) When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change. We are here to change ourselves, to grow, and by changing ourselves we have changed the world.
7) Time is an illusion, there is only NOW.

The Six Instructions

1. No killing-Reverence for life
2. No competing- Reverence for cooperation, sharing & fairness
3. No stealing- Reverence for others' property
4. No sexual misconduct- Reverence for our pure nature
5. No lying- Reverence for honesty
6. No intoxicants- Reverence for a clear mind

The Eight Way Path

1. Right View. The right way to think about life is to see the world through the eyes of God/Universe-with wisdom, compassion and patience.
2. Right Thought. We are what we think. Clear and kind thoughts build good, strong character.
3. Right Speech. By speaking kind and helpful words, we are respected and trusted by everyone.
4. Right Conduct. No matter what we say, others know us from the way we behave.
5. Right Livelihood. This means choosing a job that does not hurt others. Do not seek happiness by making others unhappy. Do what you enjoy.
6. Right Effort. A worthwhile life means doing our best at all times and having good will toward others. This also means not wasting effort on things that harm ourselves or others.
7. Right Mindfulness. This means being aware of our thoughts, words, and deeds.
8. Right Concentration. Focus on one thought or object at a time. By doing this, we can be quiet and attain true peace of mind.

"nudist retail clerks" are not self-contradictory at all. Many retail clerks relax at nudist resorts during their days off, and some even work at them for a living.
