Fun Fact No. 1: Frank Beard, drummer for ZZ Top, is the only member of band who doesn’t have a footlong beard.

Fun Fact No. 2: ZZ Top will perform at the Eagle River Pavilion on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m.

Fun Fact No. 3: Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 24, at 10 a.m.

ZZ Top hasn’t played in Boise for four years, but the last time the bluesy classic rockers were here, the show sold out. The bearded trio famously don cheap pairs of black sunglasses in most of their music videos and live concerts.

The band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1969. In the mid-'70s, ZZ Top brought 75 tons of equipment and native Texas animals across the United States, including a buffalo, a longhorn steer, a rattlesnake and a Texas-shaped stage. The tour sold 1.2 million tickets.

Though ZZ Top probably won’t be bringing a buffalo to Boise this summer, the show should still be a blast. Tickets will be available at ticketfly.com. General admission lawn tickets are $39.50, reserved seat tickets are $59.50 and VIP tickets cost $99.50.
