Need Something To Do Thursday?

If the stress of the week is getting to be so great that you're thinking about re-watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off purely for pointers on how to fake sick, you can stop.

Idaho Botanical Garden's Great Garden Escape series promises an escape from the pressures of the work week. Thursdays from June through September, IBG features a variety of musicians, food and drinks. You can enjoy the outdoors by packing your own picnic or visiting vendors at the garden, which will include limited offerings from Willowcreek Grill/Raw Sushi and sweets from Prepared Catering.

Sip some beer or wine and unwind with music from Steve Eaton and Phil Garonzik, who have been playing music together for more than 40 years. Both can be found performing regularly at various Boise locales, and Eaton has written songs for The Carpenters, Art Garfunkel and Lee Greenwood, to name a few.

Great Garden Escape starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10, $7 for IBG members and $4 for children ages 5-12. Children younger than 5 can attend for FREE. Packages of 10 concerts are also available for $60. Visit IBG's website for more info.
