Sure, plenty of authors have hit the literary jackpot and had their words translated into a film or TV series. But how often do you get to chat with them about their mad writing skills?
Today, you can do just that. Author Craig Johnson will wander away from his home in Ucross, Wyo., population 25, and head to Rediscovered Books. At 7 p.m., he will discuss his latest work, As the Crow Flies, the eighth novel in a series about Wyoming Sheriff Walt Longmire. The books inspired the new A&E series Longmire, the first episode of which aired June 24. New episodes are shown on Sundays.
According to a synopsis on Rediscovered's website, As the Crow Flies tells the story of the sheriff's daughter, Cady, who is set to wed the brother of Longmire's undersheriff, Victoria Moretti. But plans for the nuptials go awry near the wedding day.
