BW Fall Internship Applications Open July 30

Posted By on Thu, Jul 26, 2012 at 3:15 PM

What's the best way to know what you don't want to do for a living? An internship.

But then again ... internships are also a good way to find out what you do want to be when you grow up.

On Monday, July 30, Boise Weekly's fall internship program will begin accepting applications from college students seeking academic credit.

Editorial interns will be required to report, write, and produce slideshows and video reports. We guarantee that you'll be published online regularly, and if we're doing our job right, you'll walk away from your internship with printed clips, as well a digital portfolio to help you land a job in the future.

Internships are unpaid, and preference will be given to candidates who can commit to working August through December.

A few words of advice: If you've never read Boise Weekly, don't even bother to apply. If this is your first time at boiseweekly.com, don't even bother to apply. If swearing, heated political debates and booze make you uncomfortable, don't even bother to apply.

Boise Weekly will begin accepting applications Monday, July 30. To be considered, send a resume and a 500-word, nonfiction writing sample (published or not) to editor@boiseweekly.com before 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9. Interviews will be conducted Monday, Aug. 13, through Thursday, Aug. 16.
