Flying Pie to Open Meridian Pizzaria

Posted By on Thu, Oct 4, 2012 at 2:45 PM

In a move first initiated by the downtown pizza-slinging restaurant Pie Hole, another local pizza restaurant is setting up shop in Meridian.

Boise's Flying Pie Pizzaria, the 34-year-old restaurant with locations on Fairview Avenue and State Street, is opening up a third location at 601 Main St. in Meridian in early 2013. The company surveyed its Facebook fans for their opinion on the best place to open a new location, and Meridian came in first. Occupying 3,400 square feet, the shop will have 25 to 30 employees and will also appeal to customers in Nampa and Kuna, according to the Idaho Business Review.

The IBR reports owner Florian Penalva is also working on a location near Boise State, but doesn't have a site yet.
