Amanda Hamilton Opening at Black Hunger Tonight

Posted By on Sat, Nov 3, 2012 at 10:20 AM

Idaho artist Amanda Hamilton will premiere her recent body of work—The Middle Distance—at a special opening at Black Hunger Gallery this evening.

While Hamilton is well-versed in painting and drawing, this exhibit will include pieces that mostly employ the use of sculpture and film. The series explores the relationship between the strong textures of the natural world and the mystery inherent to earthly exploration.

Hamilton's past works have been showcased throughout the Northwest and are all strongly tied to her perception of nature. Her intricate pieces of art have a definite tie to Idaho, often reflecting the beauty and wonderment of this place we call home.

Check it out for yourself by heading to Black Hunger Gallery, 2606 Breneman St., for the opening reception from 6-9 p.m. Have some food and drink while you're there.
