Many families in our community brave the chilly winter temperatures not for fun, but because they have to. And our hearts—and, whenever possible, our helping hands—reach out to them.

That's why PODS and Kissin’ 92.3 FM have teamed up to present the Keep Kids Warm coat drive. Too many children tough out hard winters without the necessary gear, and you can make their holidays a little better by donating gently used coats, scarves, hats and gloves.

Donated items will be collected today through Friday, Dec. 21, at YMC Inc., located at 2975 Lanark St. in Meridian; Tom Scott Toyota, located in the Idaho Center Auto Mall at 15933 N. Idaho Center Blvd. in Nampa; Boise Gun Company, at 1400 Shilo Drive in Nampa; and at all Treasure Valley D&B Supply Stores.
