Snow opens a lot of things—like chimney flues, ski hills and the neglected regions of closets packed with warm coats, boots and all things wool.

Not on that list are front doors, sinuses and art galleries.

Among those art galleries that remained closed during the Great Boise Snow Day Thursday, Jan. 10, was The Gallery at Finer Frames in Eagle, which just happened to be hosting an art exhibit and book signing.

The event, a joint gallery opening for landscape painter Kevin McCain and Gift of the Phoenix author Donna Cook, has since been rescheduled for the hopefully less-blizzard-y Friday, Jan. 18, at Finer Frames, where McCain and Cook will be available to present and discuss their work from 4-7 p.m.
