In the Northwest, brewers are taking careful note of the expanding palates of their loyal consumers.

The broader the tastes of beer-lovers, the more thought brewers put into their beer. Like wine, beer has become intellectualized.

Today, Payette Brewing is hosting another of its Kegs4Kause events. Half of the proceeds go to the Garden City Library and patrons can also listen to guest speaker Herman W. Ronnenberg hold a discussion on the topic of brewing in Idaho.

The event is FREE and takes place from 3-10 p.m. at Payette HQ, 111 W. 33rd St., in Garden City.
