Stage Coach Theatre needs money to buy equipment and make improvements to its new location. Fortunately, fundraising has come a long way since those early days when cash-strapped actors robbed noblemen's carriages at dagger point in Sherwood Forest.
Rather than resorting to barbarism, the folks at Stage Coach are holding a Mardi Gras-themed casino night. Starting at 7 p.m. at 4802 Emerald Ave., the public can try its luck at Vegas-style gambling tables using fake money. At the end of the night, attendees can participate in a live auction for raffle prizes using their hard-won Monopoly money.
The cover is $15.
