Warm air is blowing the cold and smog out of the Treasure Valley, and it's time to play hookie and go wine tasting.

Today, there are two wine tasting events in Caldwell: the Celebrating Valentine's Day and President's Day in the Wine Country event at Huston Vineyards and Blast From the Past Vintage Case Sale at Ste. Chapelle Winery.

Starting at noon, Huston Vineyards is offering several varieties of chocolate, including a fondue of Velada and Belgian chocolates, to go with its wines. The tasting fee is $5.

At 11 a.m., Ste. Chapelle cracks open its case sale. The cost of admission is $8-$10, but that scores you up to 70 percent off cases of 15 different wines on site, live music from Rebecca Scott and chocolate and cheese snacks.
