John Denver's name recalls the wind whistling through trees as you gaze at the glistening Rockies.

Unfortunately, Denver can't be with us to reminisce about what inspired him to write songs like "Rocky Mountain High," as he died in a plane crash in 1997, but his legacy lives on, thanks in part to The John Adams Band, which plays covers of Denver's songs.

Starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Kuna Performing Arts Center, The John Adams Band will rock out the magic of one of Colorado's most distinctive voices. Tickets are $12-$15.
