The folks at The Charm School are hosting a live crowdsourced micro-funding event tonight, Wednesday, March 13, called Feast.

Feast invites 10 local artists on stage at the Visual Arts Collective and gives each one a few minutes to describe his or her project proposal. While listening to proposals, the audience will be treated to a special dinner from Archie's Place, consisting of vegetarian tamales with cotija cheese, green salad with salsa vinaigrette and a black bean and corn salad.

Artists presenting include Josef Firmage
, Sam Johnson
, Heidi Kraay
, Bronwyn Leslie
, Grant Olsen
, Amy Pence-Brown
, Kelly Thomas Rule
, Jose Angel Saenz
, Janessa Nichole White
and Matthew Wordell. Artist bios and ticket info can be found here.

At the end of the night, attendees will vote on which project should win the Feast scholarship, which is comprised of money collected from ticket sales. Organizers suggest that the pot may amount to between $400 and $1,000.

The event runs from 6-8 p.m. and $20 tickets can be purchased here or at the door. But be warned: The event might sell out.
