If you're a literature aficionado, Brady Udall needs no introduction. If not, the former Idaho writer in residence—a position he held through 2012—has quite the pedigree.
Part of a large family featuring four generations of politicians from the American West, Udall has chosen to make his mark through literature. He has written three books, including the short story collection Letting Loose the Hounds, and two novels, The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint and The Lonely Polygamist.
Udall will speak at the Boise Public Library at Cole and Ustick today from noon to 1 p.m. He'll discuss his works and the writing process, as well as answer questions from the audience. The event is free.
