Whitewater Ramble to Give Boise an Advance Release of New Album for Treefort

Bluegrass, jam and roots music fans are getting a special treat this weekend at Treefort Music Fest.

Colorado band Whitewater Ramble got high marks for their debut, All Night Drive, and now the lads are getting set to drop another album on the world in the next several months.

But according to promoter Seth Brown, of 2EntertainU, who is hosting the Treefort showcase with Whitewater Ramble, special permission was obtained to release that new disc early at the band's midnight performance on Sunday, March 24, at Tom Grainey's.

Roots & Groove features 11 tracks of the same uptempo "dance-grass" that the band built its reputation on. And Whitewater Ramble offers plenty of danceability, with most of the songs pushing well past the 5-minute mark. One, "Beyer's Canyon," clocks in at 10:23.

The tracks on the new album are not yet available for streaming, but you can check out a video of Whitewater Ramble live below.
