It felt like it took forever for winter to dissipate, but now that it's gone, it's time to start missing the cold again. Fortunately you can prepare for the snow season at Idaho IceWorld. Today the ever-cool skate rink is hosting two events for the ice-bound among us.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., you can learn to skate for free. New skaters get a lesson on how to propel, steer and stop on ice skates. While the event is free, an RSVP is required, so call 208-608-7716 for more info.

On the other end of the rink, a slightly more advanced crowd will learn to play hockey, also for free. Gear fitting begins at 5:30 p.m., and the on-ice session runs from 6-7 p.m. Call 208-608-7721 for more info and to RSVP.
