It seems like we've been inundated by "best of" contests, but as with the Original Coke vs. New Coke battle of the '80s, the first "best of" is still the best "best of."
That's right, the alpha "best of" is about to make its annual grand entrance.
Voting for the 2013 Best of Boise will start Wednesday, July 24, and run through midnight Sunday, Sept. 1. Winners will be revealed in the Wednesday, Sept. 25 edition of Boise Weekly.
So how do you vote for your favorite businesses/individuals/organizations? You know, the ones which make the Treasure Valley so great? All you have to do is click on the Best of Boise button at boiseweekly.com any time throughout the voting period, and it will take you directly to our survey.
This year we're moving Best of Boise voting back to our own website—a change we hope will simplify the process. In order to vote, you just have to be a registered member on boiseweekly.com (setting up an account is quick, easy and free).
As always, we ask that individuals cast only one ballot per person, and we will be watching closely for ballot stuffing—so don't waste your time and just be honest. Also, we only accept votes for locally owned and operated businesses and organizations, meaning each business has to be headquartered in the Boise area and cannot be a franchise.
Voters can complete their ballots at any time during the survey period—the system allows users to log on and off without losing their progress—but they must answer at least 20 questions for their votes to count.
Now put on your voting caps and get ready to make some judgment calls.
