Video: Why Idaho is Not Iowa

Posted By on Tue, Jul 15, 2014 at 9:12 AM

It should surprise no one in either Idaho or Iowa that these are radically different places. Idaho varies from high desert to rocky canyonlands to densely wooded hills and valleys. Iowa's seemingly endless cornfields broken by creekside thickets and toy-bright barns run right up to the Mississippi River, where the terrain turns hilly. They're also rather far away from each other: Boise is almost exactly 1,500 miles from Des Moines, Iowa.

But there are those who continue to confuse the two, for seemingly no better reason than the two states' names begin with the letter I, and it's for these poor, geographically challenged souls that Twin Falls radio station KSNQ 98.3 FM created the music video above.
