Park City, UT Day 2

Fun show last night! Aside from the fact that there is NEVER anywhere to park a van with a trailer in Park City, I've come to love playin here. Seems like every person i meet here is from somewhere else and in "vacation" mode so there always down to party and dance at the shows. After soundcheck we did a spaghetti dinner at our friend Ron's place that's a DJ for the local radio station here, KPCW. Nobody knows more about the "scene" here than him so always good to catch up on what's hot in the area. After Some kind of cheap beer I'd never seen before and a few shots of whiskey we headed down to the club. Played most the new album first set which felt great! The songs are starting to take a different shape every show now. Especially "Hollywood" which always leads us into this slimy-wah wah funk with Tom slappin his bass like it owes him something. That jam took us into an old Beatles tune "Get back" which seemed to be the crowd pleaser of the night. After the gig and some conversing with some local "cougars", we found ourselves at a house under construction down the road from the venue jamming acoustic with an amazing flute playing girl from San Diego mixed with Vodka, wine, and cheese! I passed out on a couch and woke up to the girls cooking crepes and coffee and an amazing view of the town out the window! Good people here. Time to head to S.L.C.!!! The venue we play tonight told us we couldn't play there anymore after a halloween show "drinking onstage" incident a few years back so should be interesting playing the room again...
