If your family leaves you home alone to cry over a box of Stove Top this Thanksgiving or your entire crew is culinarily challenged, fear not. A number of Boise restaurants will be open this Turkey Day serving a mix of traditional and specialty dishes.
Whether you're ready to drop some big bills this holiday season, or you've decided to prolong Buy Nothing Day through the end of the year, First Thursday has plenty of pretty shiny things to keep you amused.
"The last big thing that came from Japan, gastronomically speaking, was sushi," said Mai Thai barkeep Michael Reed. "But apparently there's another big tradition that's been going on for the last century called Izakaya."
Dinner reservations this Valentine's Day could be particularly difficult to come by since many of Boise's most popular eateries take a day of rest on Sunday. But you may get lucky. With a table, that is.
