"Social media and the internet is their recruiting ground," said panelist and former U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson. "The goal of a project is to occupy the same space as the recruiters—this is where the battleground is."
"Still, while the university does restrict how flyers can be posted on campus, the content of the speech in question is protected by the First Amendment—as is the speech of those who vehemently agree with it."
"The only person responsible for sexual misconduct is the perpetrator. It is a violation of University policy to engage in sexual activities without affirmative consent (clear words or actions indicating a desire to engage in the specific sexual contact) from the other person."
Several pieces of the plaza are still being prepped for full operation, however, including the Main Street Station multi-modal transit center, which is set to begin bus service the morning of Monday, Oct. 24.
