According to Homegrown's website, the play centers on a "desperate playwright who is struggling to get his play produced, so he kidnaps the [city's] best actors and forces them to produce the play in his basement."
But this yard party is infinitely cooler than the one you threw last weekend, at least musically. It'll substitute the jams bellowing from your iPod dock with live musical performances from local electro dudes Mozam, the Thomas Paul Trio, hip-hoppers Dedicated Servers, Edmond Dantes, Boise Rock School, Joanna Richard, The Project, Matthew Lon Shockey and BW's own Josh Gross.
The newest Homegrown Theater production involves a cat and a wad of cash. Veronica Livingstone, I Presume tells the story of a deceased millionaire and the ultimate crazy cat lady, who leaves her fortune not to her son but to her feline friend.
The play will run Tuesday, April 17-Thursday, April 19 at the Linen Building.
