Democrats in north-central Idaho took a particular bruising, with House Minority Leader John Rusche (D-Lewiston) and Sen. Dan Schmidt (D-Moscow) going down to defeat and Republican Thyra Stevenson regaining a House seat vacated by outgoing Lewiston Democratic Rep. Dan Rudolph.
Idaho Democratic Party officials in Boise have decided to pull a party field organizers out of Legislative District No. 1 because the operative claims he was being "stalked and harassed" by supporters of incumbent Republican Rep. Heather Scott.
In Idaho, Sen. Ted Cruz was on top, garnering 96,411 votes, representing 45 percent of the vote. Donald Trump followed with 60,236 votes (28 percent). Sen. Marco Rubio received 34,772 votes (16 percent) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich received 15,963 votes (7.5 percent).
