John Lee told Second Judicial District Court Judge John Stegner chronic back pain had been "torturing" him and "voices were keeping him awake" prior to the shooting. Lee's attorney said his client suffered from schizophrenia and a disorder that triggers paranoia.
John Lee previously pleaded not guilty to three counts for first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault, but this morning's Lewiston Tribune reports that Latah County prosecutors confirmed that Lee will appear in 2nd District Court on Friday though they wouldn't confirm if Lee had reached a plea agreement.
