The race for Boise City Council is down one candidate.
Shaun Stamper stopped by the BW office earlier today to announce that he is withdrawing from the race for Seat 1, currently held by Alan Shealy. Stamper said medical reasons are forcing him to leave the race.
Boise has its first non-incumbent candidate for city council.
Shaun Stamper filed paperwork earlier this spring allowing him to collect and spend money on a campaign for seat no. 1 on the council. The seat is currently held by Alan Shealy, who is not seeking re-election.
