Another cold front was expected to grip the Treasure Valley Friday night, triggering an overnight low of 2 degrees and a Saturday high of only 17 degrees. More snow is in the forecast for Monday night.
Idaho Power reported Monday morning the power had been restored to most of the homes, as crews worked to isolate and fix the problem while walking through knee-deep snow. Crews needed to deploy snowmobiles, a snowcat and even a helicopter to reach the damaged power lines.
