The Dec. 7 demonstration, part of PETA's anti-wool campaign, was aimed at holiday shoppers who might be considering purchasing wool products for themselves or loved ones for the holiday season, but might not know about animal abuse PETA says is endemic to the wool industry.
Additionally, a spokeswoman from WSU's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee will ensure that all of the labs would be regularly inspected over the next five- to seven-years to ensure that researchers are operating the labs legally.
“Raising money to help children by hurting another species is not the way to go, Imagine the positive impact a cruelty free circus would make, how many more people would show up, how many more people would be helped”.
The Cornell IVF team reported their work in the Public Library of Science journal PLoS ONE, and NBC News reports that researchers are hoping to use their new IVF methods to "correct genetic diseases that plague many breeds of dog."
The Idaho Humane Society said the dogs will be available for adoption Friday, Nov. 27 at the Dorman Street shelter. As part of the Nov. 27 "Black Friday" shopping craze, IHS said it will also offer discounts on adoption fees.
"It is obvious to me that my apology will never be good enough for the Speaker of the House," Rep. Heather Scott wrote on her Facebook page. "Is this a personal issue against me? Does he want to keep the headlines going?"
Jacob Taylor, 35, was booked into the Ada County Jail on an outstanding IDOC warrant and was also charged with resisting and obstructing, and failure to appear. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Jan. 23, in Ada County Court.
